Children’s Multicultural Bookfest

A Free Event for young children featuring story tents focused on the world’s continents where children can here cultural stories from around the world  in English, Spanish and Chinese read by volunteer readers.

Food trucks also will be available as well as vendors, including the Girl Scouts, Camarillo Police Dept. Kid Prings, Mrs. Figs Bookworm and PAWS for Reading. Entertainment will include local children’s demonstrations of dance and music.

The event will feature the following children’s authors:

  • Drew Daywalt, author of “The Day the Crayons Quit”
  • Kari Lowe, atuhor of  the Arlo The Elephant books
  • June Sobel, author of “B is for Bulldozer: A Construction ABC” and “The Goodnight Train”
  • Neil Stevan Klayman, author “Boris ate a Thesaurus”
  • Tonia Allen Gould, author of “Samuel T. Moore of Corte Magore”
  • Kathlene Contreras, author of “Sweet Memories”
