About the Port of Hueneme
For more than 75 years, the Port of Hueneme has been a major economic engine in Ventura County. Its customers create over 10,000 jobs (direct, induced, indirect, and influenced), ranging from the pilots who guide ships to people who load and unload cargo to the accountants who track the freight. As one of California’s busiest seaports, The Port is as proud of its $1 billion economic contribution to the area as it is of the people who have made it possible. The Port is a vital west coast getaway for the import & export of automobiles. In addition, the Port also handles produce, liquid bulk, fuels and fertilizer. Coast trade includes fish, offshore oil, general cargo and vessel fuel.
